how to get AWS credits through AWS Educate:

Step 1: Determine Your Eligibility
You can join if you're a student/teacher/educator

Step 2: Sign Up for AWS Educate

Step 3: Sign Up for AWS Educate
Click "Join AWS Educate"
Choose your account type:
Student - Get up to $100-$200 in credits
Student - Get up to $100-$200 in credits
Educator - Get classroom resources + credits

Step 4: Complete Registration
       For Students:
       You'll need:

        Valid .edu email address (institutional email)
        OR proof of enrollment (student ID, transcript, enrollment letter)
     
Step 5: Fill out the form with:

Personal information
Institution name
Field of study
Expected graduation date

For Educators:

Institutional email
School/university affiliation
Course information

Step 6: Verification

AWS will review your application (usually 1-3 business days)
You'll receive an email confirmation once approved
The email will contain your promotional code or direct credit allocation

Step 7: Access Your Credits
Once approved, you have two options:

Option A: AWS Educate Starter Account (No credit card needed)

Pre-loaded with credits
Limited AWS services access
No credit card required

Option B: Link to Your Personal AWS Account

Full AWS service access
Requires credit card on file
Credits applied as promotional codes

Step 8: Redeem Your Code (if applicable)
If you received a promo code:

Sign in to AWS Console
Go to Billing Dashboard → Credits
Click Redeem Credit
Enter your AWS Educate promotional code
Click Redeem

What You Get
Student Benefits:
$100-$200 in AWS credits
